Volvo Group celebrates grand opening of DEX Heavy Duty Parts facility in Oklahoma City

Along with the Volvo Group, the  summit was sponsored by 11th Hour Racing, the Mirpuri Foundation, AkzoNobel, the Ocean Family Foundation, Bluewater and Stena Recycling. The official partner in Newport is Sail Newport, a nonprofit organization that promotes easy and affordable access to sailing.

The Volvo Group is sponsoring an Ocean Summit during the Volvo Ocean Race stopover in Newport, Rhode Island, to educate attendees about ocean health issues, with a focus on plastic pollution. The summit, scheduled for Friday, May 18, is also sponsored by 11th Hour Racing, the Mirpuri Foundation, AkzoNobel, the Ocean Family Foundation, Bluewater and Stena Recycling. Volvo Trucks presents second electric truck model in three weeks

Just three weeks after the unveiling of Volvo Trucks' first all-electric truck, the Volvo FL Electric, the company is expanding its product range with yet another electric truck. The Volvo FE Electric is designed for heavier city distribution and refuse transport operations with gross weights of up to 27 tonnes. Sales will commence in Europe in 2019.

Martin Weissburg appointed President of Mack Trucks

Martin Weissburg, currently President of Volvo Construction Equipment, will become President of Mack Trucks effective June 1, 2018, in which capacity he will continue to be a member of the Executive Board for the Volvo Group. Martin Weissburg was born in 1962, and has served as President of Volvo Construction Equipment since 2014. He joined the Volvo Group in 2005 as President of Volvo Financial Services Americas, and in 2010 became global President of Volvo Financial Services. He will be headquartered in Greensboro, North Carolina, USA.
