Schutte-Buffalo Hammermill parent company acquires Columbus McKinnon Shredder Division

Bengal Machine, the parent company of Schutte-Buffalo Hammermill, LLC, has acquired CM Recycling Equipment Solutions. The asset purchase of CM Shredder fits with Bengal Machine's strategy to combine world-class brands in the size reduction industry into a fully integrated manufacturer offering complete, turnkey solutions across a wide range of industries and size reduction applications. CM Shredder will offer two brands to service the primary and secondary shredding markets: CM Tire Shredders and CM Industrial Shredders. Schutte-Buffalo will become Schutte Hammermill and will focus on its hammer mill, crusher, and lump breaker product lines.

Tire recycling system provided for state-of-the-art pyrolysis operation in Europe

CM Tire Recycling Equipment (a division of Columbus McKinnon Corporation) recently supplied a complete turnkey installation – a CM Zero Waste TRR system for one of the most state-of-the-art pyrolysis operations in Europe. The CM Zero Waste TRR system is capable of producing 25 mm wire-free rubber that will be used as feedstock for the pyrolysis system’s reactor. CM says they were chosen to supply this system due to its capability for processing passenger car and truck tires to >25 mm wire-free rubber, along with clean steel, to a purity level of >96 percent.

Tire recycler to triple productivity with new shredders

American Tire Recycling Group (ATRG) located in Miami, is a producer of rubber products including tire derived fuel (TDF), rubber mulch, crumb rubber and rubber used in rubberized asphalt concrete (RAC). Over the past four years, the company has significantly increased its tire collection market, going from 7,000 to 28,000 incoming tires per day. Their equipment was limiting their growth.

American Tire Recycling Group, Miami, FL Announces Expansion

American Tire Recycling Group (ATRG) located in Miami, FL, is expanding its facility and making some big changes to its tire recycling line of equipment. ATR is a producer of rubber products including tire derived fuel (TDF), rubber mulch, crumb rubber and rubber used in rubberized asphalt concrete (RAC). The company was started as a collaborative effort of three Latin American groups looking to make a positive environmental impact in South Florida.

CM to supply Alberta’s largest tire recycling company with new crackermill

Strategically located in Edmonton, Alberta Environmental Rubber Products (AERP) is one of the largest and most well established tire recycling facilities in Canada. A local family owned and operated company, the company was founded as a direct result of environmental policy initiatives of the Alberta government who believed that tire collection and recycling was a worthwhile effort and a much needed service for the province. AERP is a full service processor that collects and transports across Alberta. Currently AERP produces and markets a wide range of tire-derived material ranging from shred to rubber crumb.

The CM Hybrid Primary Shredder is engineered to process passenger car, truck and super singles as well as farm, off-road and pre-cut mining tires. The Hybrid comes equipped with twin 75-horsepower (150 kW) gear motors, capable of running at low rpms with high torque, providing very low energy consumption, and the ability to process oversized tires with ease.
