Small-Town Values, Global Impact
New Way Trucks, the cornerstone brand of the central Iowa-based McLaughlin Family Companies, is the largest private manufacturer of refuse equipment in North America and fastest-growing company in the $80 billion North American solid waste industry. New Way's mobile refuse collection vehicles are currently on the ground in all 50 states, every Canadian province, and on five of the world's seven continents. Our industry-leading Dealer Network is the bedrock of our organization and covers the entire U.S., Canada, Puerto Rico, Mexico, South America, the Middle East, and Asia.
At New Way, we believe that all solid waste is local. This is visible in the equipment variations our customers request. To meet that need we manufacture the widest product lineup of any refuse equipment manufacturer. With 38 models of 11 different product lines of mobile refuse collection equipment, there's no waste collection need that New Way Trucks cannot meet. Our product lineup features six rear-load, three side-load, and two front-load (standard and West Coast lightweight) models ranging in size from 6 yd³ to 43 yd³. We also manufacture self-contained and stationary solid waste compactors and offer the only direct-from-manufacturer refuse truck rental program in the industry.
In addition, New Way offers factory CNG integration on most models and is at the forefront of the 100 percent battery-electric refuse collection vehicle movement. New Way Trucks is proud to have aided in developing the most advanced mobile refuse collection vehicles in the world and to have played a major role in affecting positive, sustainable change.
The New Way family is proud to stand alongside the 467,000 individuals that make a living in the waste collection & disposal industry in the United States.

Designed with one-piece, curved shell body side construction for superior strength and streamlined appearance, the New Way® Mammoth™ Front Loader comes equipped with the strongest steel specs in the waste industry; with an arm lift capacity of 8,000 - 10,000 lbs, the Mammoth is the highest compaction front loader on the market and offers Diesel and CNG fuel configurations.
Mammoth Western Series
The New Way® Western Series Mammoth™ Front Loader is over 10 percent lighter than the Mammoth, while boasting the same superior strength and capacity you have come to expect from New Way®. Weighing in at just 16,100 to 17,300 lbs, the Western Series Mammoth maintains an impressive 34 to 40 yd³ hopper capacity and a packer cycle time of only 25 seconds.
The New Way® King Cobra™ Rear Loader is the unequivocal leader with an approximate 1,100 to 1,300 lbs per yd³ compaction rate and superior rear-loading capabilities. The King Cobra also has the lowest cost of operation of any comparable body size and one of the lowest warranty claims of any garbage truck body. Available in capacities of 20, 25, 27, and 32 cu yds.
The New Way® Cobra Magnum® Rear Loader offers the ultra-high compaction of the King Cobra, but with a body weight lighter than the competition. Add in a huge 3.55 yd³ hopper and a striking 21-23 second cycle time, and the Cobra Magnum® delivers the perfect size garbage truck with the bite to crush anything you throw its way.
Cobra HC (High Compaction)
New Way® Cobra HC™ boasts the compaction and speed of its bigger brothers, the Cobra Magnum® and the King Cobra™, but features a lightweight body with an overall lower profile for height-restricted routes. The Cobra HC displays a powerful 1,100 to 1,300 lbs. per yd³ compaction rate, 15,000-pound weight (standard 25-yard model), and 21-23 second cycle time.
The New Way® Cobra™ Rear Loader is the contractor's choice, striking the perfect balance between outstanding compaction and a lightweight 20 yd³ body. With a compaction rate of up to 1,000 lbs per yd³, the Cobra is a powerful rear load refuse truck that will do everything mid-size garbage trucks can do. The Cobra features a large 3.2 yd³ hopper available in 16, 18, and 20 yd capacities.
The New Way® Viper™ Rear Loader is one of the most popular mid-compaction rear loader bodies on the market today. Larger capacity Viper units are excellent for both residential and commercial work; available in 9, 11, and 13 yd capacities.
The New Way® Diamondback™ Rear Loader refuse truck's quality in workmanship and raw materials differentiates it from the competition. This compact, low-profile garbage truck with a low load-sill threshold has a compaction rate of approximately 800 lb. per yd³ on the standard unit and up to approximately 1,000 lbs per yd³ on the HC Model. Perfect for rural routes or high end neighborhoods.
Efficiency is always at your side with the New Way® Sidewinder XTR™ Automated Side Loader. With a smooth, fast compaction rate unrivaled by other side loader refuse trucks, and the industry's strongest frame-mounted arm — with an impressive 12 foot reach — this truck is a powerful addition to your fleet.
Designed for MSW or Organics collection flexibility, ROTO PAC® is the first auger-driven organics collection truck in North America. The 23,000 lbs of auger torque makes quick work of compaction and self-cleaning, eliminating down time to clean out behind the packer RAM.
