Record bauma attracts more than 620,000 visitors

With more than 620,000 visitors from over 200 countries, bauma 2019, the world's leading trade fair for construction machinery, building material machines, mining machines, construction vehicles and construction equipment, generated the best results in the exhibition's 65-year history. The number of visitors rose by about 40,000 over the total produced during the previous event in 2016. More than 250,000 visitors came from countries outside Germany. The top 10 visitor countries after Germany were: Austria, Italy, Switzerland, France, the Netherlands, Russia, Sweden, the Czech Republic, Poland and Great Britain. The trade fair also experienced a strong increase in attendance from overseas visitors. Significant gains in this group were produced by China, Australia and Japan. More than 5,500 visitors came from China alone. The number of exhibitors totaled about 3,700 from 63 countries - likewise a record. 

Liebherr presents material handling machines for recycling applications at bauma 2019

At bauma 2019 Liebherr presented two material handling machines: LH 18 M Industry and LH 26 M Industry, both specially designed for recycling applications. With these models, Liebherr says the company is positioning itself specifically in the field of small material handling machines, thereby expanding its product portfolio. As an example, for its electric material handling technology, Liebherr presented the LH 26 Industry with mobile undercarriage.

CDE latest intelligent plant using AI technology

At bauma 2019, CDE launched a new intelligent wet processing plant featuring the manufacturer's pioneering next generation technology. The new plant utilises advances in machine learning and the Internet of Things (IoT) to monitor and automate previously manual processes, for application in quarries, mines and recycling operations. Enabling the plant to make smart decisions in real time, this latest model can boost productivity by up to 40 percent with a payback period of under six months. (Based on outcome for a beta testing customer in Europe.)

Genesis and Steelwrist sign agreement on SQ automatic coupler systems

As the global demand for fully automatic coupler systems is rapidly increasing, Genesis Attachments will from now on offer demolition work tools with SQ type adaptor plates directly from factory. The target is to increase productivity and reduce downtime for end users as the interface between work tools and adaptor plates can be made in a more efficient way with optimized hose routings directly from factory.

Terex implements expansion plan for Fuchs Material Handlers

Terex Corporation continues to implement a series of strategic moves and investments to better position its purpose-built Fuchs material handler business for global expansion and sales growth. Recently, the business was rebranded “Fuchs – A Terex Brand” in key markets for consistent global brand recognition. The Fuchs line also transitioned to the Terex Material Processing segment, which is a better strategic fit for the business within the broader Terex portfolio. Atlas Copco launches next-gen bucket crusher attachments at Bauma

Atlas Copco Construction Equipment has introduced its new generation of bucket crusher attachments that offer higher output and greater reliability than previous models. The new bucket crushers – the BC 2500 and BC 3700 – process about 80 percent more material due to their hydraulic drive system. The BC 2500 fits 24- to 33-ton carrier weight classes, and the BC 3700 fits 30- to 42-ton carrier weight classes.

Efficiency and productivity were the focus during the development of this high-performance machine with compact dimensions.
