Optical sorter for glass and plastics recycling
Spektrum is a high-resolution optical colour sorter engineered to separate up to 90 percent of glass from ceramic, stone and porcelain waste. Units will also separate more than 98 percent off-colour contaminants from plastic streams such as coloured PET, contamination from recycled PVC and all types of granular or shredded plastics with a grain size down to below five mm.
New high resolution optic technology, combined with new sorting algorithms, correctly identify all types of contaminants, including thick, dark, light-absorbing and UV glass, even when mixed with ceramic, stone and porcelain waste. A redesigned, air-activated valve assembly helps in the achievement of better than 97 percent yield, even with an initial colour contamination of 50 percent.
