C-series Volvo crawler excavators are designed to be 95 percent recyclable, and include greatly reduced external sound levels and lead-free external paint. EC160C and the EC210C are the first of the C-series models.
For operation in extreme conditions such as in C&D, these units feature a strengthened high tensile steel undercarriage frame that absorbs stress, and a reliable, reinforced, double-welded boom and arm offer high capacity, reach and force. A sealed-for-life greased track link prevents leaks, reduces noise and ensures longevity, and protected hydraulic lines and bolt shields prevent damage.
C-series units are also built with more powerful, Tier III compliant Volvo engines, intelligent hydraulics, a more rugged undercarriage and superstructure, and a substantially upgraded operator’s environment.
Other key features include: advanced hydraulic flow; better controls, more space, more glass, and less vibration in the cab; an ROPS cab and various safety features; easier serviceability with ground level access; and parts commonality with other Volvo equipment.
