Oil stopper converts used oil filters into recycling containers
Designed for the do-it-yourself automotive market, the Oil Stopper is designed to convert entire used oil filters into a recycling container by closing the open end. This keeps used oil inside the canister until the entire unit is reclaimed to be recycled.
The Oil Stopper is designed to fit the vast majority of spin-on style automotive oil filters and is constructed of materials that do not need to be physically separated from the existing materials. This lowers labour costs for the recycling service, decreases landfill waste, reduces the potential for toxins entering drinking water supplies, and provides a user-friendly method for both the curbside recycling personnel, and recycler.
When used in conjunction with the Oil Stopper, the Wall & Bin Hanger is used for temporary storage of the used oil filter. This product provides a simple means for hanging the filter assembly on a garage or shop wall (like a tool) in an orderly fashion until recycling day. On recycling day, the assembly is transferred to the curbside with all of the other recyclables for simplified pickup by recycling personnel. When the oil filter is removed, the Wall & Bin Hanger remains with the owner for the next recycling interval.
