Compostable bags
BIOSAK compost-able bags are designed to line food waste containers in order to keep them clean. The bags along with their contents can then be conveniently taken to the curb and will compost entirely. BIOSAK bags are made for use in kitchen containers, curbside containers and will keep odours in when tied. BIOSAK Compostable Brown Bags are made with a new generation of bio-plastic, consisting of corn starch modified with biodegradable polyesters and vegetable matter (not an oil based plastic.) Corn, corn starch and vegetable matter are renewable resources, and the natural composition of these bags makes them a food source for the microorganisms found in composting food waste.
The bio-plastic used for BIOSAKs is a breathable material that allows airborne moisture to pass through the bag, yet at the same time the bag is watertight and waterproof.
