Particleboard made from 100 percent recycled and recovered wood waste
EVR Particleboard is made from 100 percent recycled and recovered wood waste, or fibre generated from wood residue, and complies with the European E-1 standard for low emissions. “We’re proud to introduce the very first product in our new EVR Panels line,” said Juan Obach, chairman of ATC Panels. “We’re even more pleased to make this new eco-friendly offering available at a cost comparable to our standard particleboard.” The company plans to certify its new EVR Particleboard with the CPA Certification Program. The CPA recently added the capability to certify formaldehyde emissions and physical properties to mill speci-fications or mill standards, and can now certify to an ‘E-1’ formaldehyde level. “The CPA testing will help us to meet customer demands and enable us to compete more effectively in the global marketplace,” added Obach.

Additionally, the company says, as an Environmentally Preferable Product, and because the raw materials used to produce the new board are recovered near the Mon-cure manufacturing facility where the board is made, EVR Particleboard may offer architects and specifiers the opportunity to achieve valuable LEED credit points.

EVR Particleboard is available as raw board or can be specified for Thermally Fused Melamine (TFM) panels. Sizes include boards four and five feet wide in lengths of six, eight, nine and 12 feet with thicknesses ranging from 1/2-inch to 1-1/8 inches.
