1412 impactor plant’s hydraulic controls provide more uniform product

The new Terex Pegson 1412 Trakpactor plant features a horizontal primary impact crusher with hydraulic controls for more uniform products, plus the latest PLC CAN BUS control system to automatically regulate the feed to the crusher, based on engine load. The plant is suitable for crushing concrete and asphalt rubble, brick and medium to hard limestone. The impactor on these plants utilizes a state-of-the-art hydraulic apron-locking mechanism with overload protection and automatic reset. This provides consistent product size with less oversize than conventional spring-loaded impact crushers, as well as additional protection against tramp metal. The 1412 also opens and adjusts hydraulically and is fitted with a hydraulic tilting feed plate to improve blockage clearance. Crusher feed opening is 32 by 54 inches, and rotor size is 48 inches diameter and 53 inches wide with four reversible Martensitic steel blow bars held with a simple clamping system. Ceramic blow bars are optional. Maximum feed size is 24 by 20 by 20 inches cube or 48 by 40 by 20 inches slab.
Some other key features include: a standard hydraulic folding feed hopper; 54-inch wide by 14-foot vibrating grizzly feeder with underscreen; an optional 13-foot six-inch wide hopper for shovel feed from rear; a Caterpillar C12 438 hp diesel; a modular 48-inch wide dual drive discharge conveyor that raises and lowers hydraulically; ample clearance under the engine; a ripstop product belt; and a swivel type dirt conveyor that is two feet wide and which provides seven-foot 10-inch high stockpiles.
Terex Pegson also recently released their track-mounted, fixed-hammer, horizontal 428 Trakpactor impact crusher plant with up to 400 tons per hour capacity, and with 20 to 1 reduction ratios. The 428 is designed for applications in crushing aggregates, and concrete/asphalt rubble.
