Drum feeder helps avoid “black belt” in single stream applications

Bollegraaf’s drum feeder for applications in single stream facilities are designed to eliminate the “black belt”, providing up to two tons per hour increase in production by maintaining a constant flow of material to the sorting system, and freeing time up for a loader. The drum feeder’s two main elements are a 46 cubic metre capacity bunker with reversible six-inch chain belt with steel slats, and a six-inch steel belt with minimum tensile strength of 24,000 pounds. Units are built with service doors on the sides of the bunker and additional protection at the front of the drum feeder for safety.
