
Atlas Copco has acquired Hartl Anlagenbau GmbH, Austria, the manufacturer of Powercrusher crushers and screeners. According to Atlas Copco, the acquisition will strengthen its offerings in the areas of quarrying and recycling in particular.
Atlas Copco Powercrusher offers a wide range of track-mounted mobile crushers and screeners for various applications. The line includes jaw crushers, impact crushers and cone crushers with a crushing capacity ranging from 200 to 500 tons/hr, and screeners with a crushing capacity of 200 to 400 tons/hr.
“The recent acquisition offers an excellent opportunity for Atlas Copco to increase customer share with our current customer base, as well as open doors into new markets,” said Peter Walsh, Atlas Copco Construction and Mining Canada.
“Our customers will benefit from having the same supplier for drill rigs, breakers, road construction equipment as well as mobile crushers and screeners,” added Andreas Malmberg, President, Surface Drilling Equipment division.
Walsh said the products fit with what Atlas Copco already offers customers. “Hartl Powercrushers and screeners are well known, high-quality products that will enhance and expand our present product portfolio in the mining, construction, demolition and road building industries.”
