Compactor provides high levels of volume reduction in open-top containers
The high level of compaction and of volume reduction achievable on waste materials when using a PACKMAT compactor, will significantly reduce the number of open-top containers to be filled (typically by 40 to 70 percent depending on the material being compacted).

These units provide improved site safety and working conditions as they eliminate the need for site operators to climb into containers to manually stack and compact waste in order to gain volume. The PACK-MAT compactor will enable users to double the waste capacity of existing civic amenity sites, without any extension to or additional open-top containers.

By reducing the number of waste containers being filled and the number of trips taken to empty them, a PACKMAT also contributes substantially to the reduction of unnecessary trucks on the road, and so and NOXreduces the production of CO2that trucks produce.

The PACKMAT is compact in size and uses a four cylinder, in-line diesel engine with ambiant air intake, an integrated cooling system, easy cooling and greasing by oil, and features low noise output, avoiding costly insulation requirements.

The hydraulic circuit on these units is controlled by a load sensing PVG32 proportional valve, fed by single load sensing, pressure compensated variable piston pump with horsepower limiter.

The PACKMAT works well for garden waste, cumbersome waste, paperboards, wood waste, metals and household waste, and using from two to four compaction operations, provides gained volume of between 25 and 65 percent, depending on the material.
