Compact crushers are raising the bar

RubbleMaster recently won two separate awards in Europe for its model RM70 (below) and RM80 (above) compact re-cyclers. The RM70 was awarded a 2007 Silver Award from the government of the Republic of Germany, and the German Design Council. The awards are given to companies and Designers whose achievements distinguish themselves in the market environment with-high levels of design quality, serviceability, ecological value and innovation. There were 940 innovative products nominated for these awards this year.
The independent jury who judge the awards stated: “The RM70 Compact Recycler is a self-operating recycling system for building waste, with strong crushing power. Thanks to the low emission values for sound and dust, the compact RM70 is the ideal inner city crusher, optimal for small and medium building sites in sensitive areas. It features a minimalist design and is divided clearly into static and dynamic components.” RubbleMaster’s RM80 model compact recycler also won an award from Austria’s leading construction trade journal, BBB, at the end of January this year. The Bautechnik Award is given for constructional engineering services, design concepts and developments, made in Austria, which are not traditional construction equipment. This year’s award was the first ever given.
Model RM100 latest compact crusher in lineThe 28 tonne model RM100 high performance compact crusher includes a newly developed vibro channel which enables maximum conveying capacity with all materials, optimized by the second generation RubbleMaster “Feed Control System”. Material flow through the crusher is extremely smooth and stable, even with large quantities of reinforcing steel. If, however, pieces that are too big do enter the crusher chamber, a “Release System” removes any blockages immediately at the press of a button on the remote control unit. These crushers are designed to handle high throughput and feature impact elements that enhance the crushing process. The final grain can be selected from coarse to fine using speed control, and the ef-ficiency of the magnetic separator ensures that any steel is completely removed. No grain is left behind on reinforcing steel. Whether it’s in travel mode or crusher mode, the operator handles all the control functions via remote control – either from an excavator or wheel loader. Additionally, a“Ground Based Service System” means that all service is done from the ground. All components are easily accessible and extremely maintenance-friendly. Plus, all machine components are geared for heavy-duty recycling applications. Even the cooling system has been scaled so that maximum cooling performance is possible in any operation, and it can be easily cleaned from both sides at any time.
Wear costs on these units are kept well below the average, and a low average consumption of only 20 to 22 litres of diesel also keeps fuel costs extremely low. The low emission values plus the exceptionally low dust and noise levels means that the RM100 can be used even in built-up areas. Throughput is up to 200 t/h depending on material.
