Glass recycler

Glass recycler
The Merlin-VSI crusher uses glass to crush glass, resulting in an extremely cost-effective, clean, contaminate-free product with no sharp edges. Bottles, jars and other glass is first broken roughly, either by a shredder, jaw crusher or similar machine, to produce a -50 mm feed. Material enters the hopper of the Merlin crusher and flows through to a Hurricane rotor where centrifugal force accelerates material along a ‘glass’ lined shelf within the rotor itself, and where the grinding of the glass begins. Glass is then ejected at approximately 60 m/sec into a ‘glass’ lined crushing chamber, where impact, attrition and grinding take place simulataneously, producing “glass on glass” crushing action.

The Merlin-VSI crusher will consistently produce a -3mm crushed glass product which closely resembles natural sand.
