Powerful cold planers

Designed to effectively mill asphalt at depths reaching 14 inches (356 mm), and with powerful 600 hp (447 kW) diesel engines and operating weights approaching 91,200 pounds (41,368 kg), three- and four-track Terex / CMI PR600 cold planers are designed to deliver high-production milling and rehabilitation of asphalt surfaces.
The three-track design features two 13.8-inch (350 mm) front tracks and a single rear, 18-inch (457 mm) wide track for stable operation. With a 77,000-pound (34,927 kg) shipping weight, the PR600 in a three-track configuration can be moved from site-to-site with standard oversized load permits.
The PR600 features a 48-inch (1,220 mm) diameter cutter, which includes 177 tungsten carbide teeth that quickly mill asphalt at an 86-inch (2,185 mm) cutting width. The machine’s V-belt, power-band drive efficiently uses 100 percent of available engine horsepower to deliver maximum cutting depths and plunge cuts up to 14 inches (356 mm) deep, which is critical for working close to obstructions. Auto tensioning prevents drive belt slippage and a Kevlar backing avoids belt stretching for long life and dependable operation.
