Shear cleaning system

Improved design

Shear cleaning system
The “Clean and Stack” Shear Cleaning System includes a heavy duty vibratory pan feeder, conveyors and a radial stacker for cleaning prepared scrap produced from a shear. The system uses a special vibratory cleaning feeder to remove dirt immediately following the shearing process.

According to company President Bill Tigner, “this system is a proven design in Europe and North America that we improved on. It has lower maintenance and a heavier frame than similar models. And because it is from US Shredder, it is more affordable.” Also recently available, the Clear-View Infrared Shredder Camera System is a high quality process that allows a shredder operator to have a “clear view” of the infeed chute by cutting through the steam and smoke generated from shredding scrap. The system features a “tighter” viewing area than competitive makes which allow more concentration of the desired viewing area. The location of the camera gives the operator a perspective similar to his own.

The system comes complete with protective casing, camera, LCD monitor and all cables and connections needed. Installation is a simple process; however US Shredder does provide installation if requested.

Heavy duty disc rotor supplied to shredding companyUS Shredder and Castings Group recently announced the deal to supply a heavy duty 80104 Disc Rotor to Darlington Shredding of Darlington, South Carolina. Features of the rotor include tie rods that have a 25 percent higher mechanical property than competitive rotors, according to the com-pany. The rotor also uses “super nuts” that have almost twice the preload capabilities over conventional hex nuts. US Shredder rotors are machined with extremely high tolerances, which greatly reduces the chance of cracks or premature failures.
