Ideal for demolition applications in concrete, wood, brick, and structures, or for primary or secondary breaking, Volvo HB series hydraulic hammers are designed for extreme duty and high impact. Seven models are available for excavators from nine through 70 tons, and in operating weights up to 3,800 kg (8,378 pounds). Units feature impact rates up to 1,000 bpm and impact energies up to 9,200 joules.
HB series hammers are engineered as a well-matched extension of the excavator, with superior power-to-weight ratios, maximum impact on every blow and outstanding cushioning for operator comfort. A long, heavy piston on these hammers matches the diameter and weight of the work tool for maximum transfer of energy from the hammer to the ground material. Other key features include a pressure control valve, extremely low noise levels, and an integrally top-mounted accumulator.
