TRACK MOUNTED HORIZONTAL GRINDER
The model 6710B track mounted horizontal grinder is the newest model in Peterson’s popular line of horizontal grinders. Units are powered by a 1,000-hp Caterpillar 3412E diesel engine, and feature a feed opening of 50 x 66 inches for processing large stumps traditionally reserved for tub grinders. Units are particularly suited for land clearing operations or other applications where mobility is desired, or in conventional recycling yards where a track mounted horizontal grinder will effectively reduce material handling costs.
The 6710B features Peterson’s Adaptive Control System II, which controls and monitors all components of the feed system to optimize output. Other key features on these units include: a three-stage grinding process that produces materials to exact specifications; a quick-change multiple grate system; a latching Impact Release System; and an Impact Cushion System.
