Tracked trommel

The 516 Cougar trommel screen is available on tracks. One tracked model is currently working in Edmonton in oilfield reclamation where soil is run through and brought down to acceptable levels. “Because the machine is on tracks, it can move around remotely,” says Grant Kergen, Wildcat dealer for Western Canada. Kergen listed some of the features that “set the Wildcat machines apart from competitors.” Features include: brushes that are adjustable from the ground; John Deere diesel powered; variable speed feed with impact rollers under the hopper; a high torque chain drive; an oversized reject conveyor that folds flat for picking station; an impact bed on the reject conveyor; four independent hydraulic levelling legs; and a complete road legal package with spring suspension.
Available options include a remote radial stacker, dual brushes, and a new livehead over the feed hopper for larger materials and more abusive applications.
Some other standard features of Wildcat screens include: removeable panels which allow access to the trommel drum; a radial screened product conveyor that swings 200 degrees for large stockpiles; reversible drum and feed conveyors; set up in less than 10 minutes; large throat openings for bulky materials; and very low hopper loading with no ramps required. Plus, all major components are easily accessible, engines are mounted high and away from dust to keep the radiator clear, all bearings are sealed and the drum is chain driven from the rear, creating a combination that is quiet and very low maintenance. Optional roll tarps and stainless steel construction for acidic materials are available.
The 516 has a five-foot diameter by 16-foot long drum size, five cubic yard hopper capacity, a nine-foot, six-inch hopper loading height, and a 65 hp diesel engine.
