European ELV specialist tours B.C. and Ontario
Seda Environmental, a major European player in End of Life Vehicle drainage technology, recently completed a whirlwind tour of British Columbia and Ontario. The company visited dis-mantlers at their yards and exhibited at both the Globe 2006 environmental fair in Vancouver, as well as at the Ontario Automobile Recyclers Associations’ annual convention. “It was a great learning experience for briquettedplastic us,” said Joseph Dagn, Seda’s Inventor and owner of the company. “We have an office in Florida and know a bit about the U.S. market, but we wanted to see first hand the challenges and problems facing Canadian dismantlers.” Seda’s award winning drainage technology which is in use throughout the world, including Bridges of London UK, Mercedes Benz in Stuttgart, Germany and now also Scott Rd trading in Vancouver, made a real impact on the Canadian dis-mantlers according to the company. “It was incredible,” says Root, Seda’s Export Manager. “In Ontario I had sold the sample tank drilling machine that I had with me within the first 15 minutes of the show.” The Seda drainage stations allow the fast and efficient removal of up to 98 percent of all fluids contained in end of life vehicles. In particular, the Tank drill filters and drains gas in a closed circuit at up to 20 litres per minute without spilling a drop. Seda considers it to be the most efficient, clean and safe fuel drainage system on the market.

Even though Canadian environmental laws are not as strict as in Europe, the value of Seda drainage stations here remains significant. “They not only get more pollutants out, they simply help yards work more economically,” says Root.
