Wheel loaders
Next generation introduced

“Generation 6” wheel loaders include the new models L 5662plus2 and L 5802plus2 which replace the L 5642plus2 and L 5802plus2 loaders. This step coincides with the implementation of the latest Tier 3 noise and emissions regulations for construction machine engines.
The new wheel loader series features higher power, improved operator comfort and additional safety devices. The heart of the previous range has been retained: the Liebherr travel drive with its innovative 2plus2 technology.
To meet Tier 3 noise and emissions regulations, Liebherr’s engine factory in Switzerland has developed a new generation of diesels, which will become standard in Liebherr construction equipment with requirements between 177 hp and 761 hp.
The “Generation 6” wheel loaders feature an advanced cooling system, and redesigned hoods as well as access points for quick and easy maintenance and service access.
A new cab design on the “Generation 6” wheel loaders is 28 percent larger than on the previous model for increased visibility, operator comfort and storage.
Additionally, these new “Generation 6” wheel loaders include the addition of several important safety devices, including the single-part laminated front windscreen, large external mirrors, four floodlights on the front and generously-sized steps for safe entrance to the cab. Tipping loads are up to 18,075 kg (39,849 pounds), bucket capacities are up to 5 m3(6.54 yd3), operating weights are up to 24,578 kg (54,185 pounds), and engine outputs are up to 200 kW (272 hp).
