New heavy-duty shear/baler/logger from Sierra International expands high-throughput production for scrap yards
A wider box and increased shear throat on the T800RB-HD allow operators to process bulky and irregular material

Sierra International Machinery has expanded its line of heavy-duty metal recycling machines with the new T800RB-HD Wide Box Shear/Baler/Car Logger.
The T800RB-HD was developed to give recyclers greater processing capability, increased efficiency, and the versatility to take on demanding materials. With an expanded folding box, increased shear throat, and 800 tons of cutting force, the T800RB-HD is built to handle high-production shearing, baling, and logging applications.
Helping recyclers process more material efficiently
Its wider folding box and increased shear throat give processors more room to work with bulky and irregular material, while its heavy-duty construction and powerful cutting system provide the strength needed for demanding processing applications.
The machine is designed for shearing heavy metal for recycling, producing dense bales, and logging automobiles, offering flexibility in one unit.
The hinge door allows recyclers to process bulky and irregular material with ease
A defining feature on the T800RB-HD is the hinge door, designed to help operators control and process bulky, oversized, and difficult material.
Working together with the folding box, the hinge door helps contain and position material throughout the compression process, allowing operators to manage challenging loads more effectively while reducing unnecessary material repositioning and preparation.
For automobiles and other large, irregular recycled materials, the hinge door helps keep material contained and moving through the processing cycle.
Meeting the demands of high-production recycling
This new shear/baler/logger is engineered for the realities of high-production recycling operations. Its heavy-duty construction incorporates abrasion-resistant materials and a reinforced box design to provide enhanced strength and durability.
The machine can perform manual and automatic shearing, baling, and logging cycles and is available in diesel or electric configurations, allowing operations to select the setup that best fits their processing needs.
Designed to process materials ranging from automobiles and stainless steel to HMS and plate and structural material, this unit provides the versatility to adapt as material entering the yard changes.
