Battery recycling education to reach more than half a million students with Call2Recycle partnership

Call2Recycle has extended its multi-year partnership with Earth Rangers — the two companies will expand battery education through Call2Recycle's Recycle Your Batteries, Canada! program. The agreement extends the partnership through June 30, 2028, building on more than a decade of collaboration that began in 2015.

Beginning in fall 2026, battery recycling education will be integrated into Earth Rangers' nationally recognized School Assembly Program, reaching approximately 1,000 schools and more than 300,000 students annually during the 2026/2027 and 2027/2028 school years. Educators will also have access to Call2Recycle classroom resources, including student workbooks and battery collection boxes, to reinforce learning beyond the assemblies.

Expanding safe and sustainable battery recycling education 

Educational content will also be featured across Earth Rangers' app, website, newsletters, social media platforms, and YouTube channel, extending the program's reach to hundreds of thousands of young people and families. The partnership is already seeing strong engagement, with its YouTube video surpassing 800,000 views worldwide.
