Carl Gustaf Göransson completes CEO tenure at Lindemann Metal Recycling
Göransson guided the company through a key transitional period while supporting recyclers, innovation, and operational progress

As Lindemann Metal Recycling enters its next chapter in the global metal recycling market, outgoing CEO Carl Gustaf Göransson completes a three-year tenure defined by transformation, resilience, and renewed momentum.
Göransson joined Lindemann at a defining moment in the company's history, following its release from Metso and amid significant change for both the business and the wider metal recycling industry.
Over the past three years, he has guided the company into its new independent era, supported its rebranding, and led the organization through turbulent economic conditions. Throughout that time, he has maintained a clear focus on recyclers, innovation, and operational progress.
Incoming CEO Rudolf Riedel ushers in a new era of growth
That focus will remain central under incoming CEO Rudolf Riedel. With more than 25 years of executive leadership experience in technology-driven industrial and capital equipment businesses, Riedel brings a strong understanding of the demands facing recyclers in complex industrial markets.
His priority will be to build on Lindemann's progress by working closely with recyclers, strengthening long-term partnerships, and ensuring the company continues to deliver the technology, service, and support they need to succeed.
Carl Gustaf Göransson leaves a legacy of success and determination
Under Göransson's three-year tenure as CEO, Lindemann has strengthened its position as a strong participant in the recycling technology landscape. The company has enhanced its shredder solution offering, rebuilt its aftermarket commercial discipline, deepened relationships with recyclers, and launched a new portfolio of mid-size products, creating a stronger platform for profitable growth.
Today, with its advanced metal recycling technologies, Lindemann is helping to drive the green steel transformation.
Göransson now hands over a reinvigorated business with renewed confidence, sharper commercial focus, and a clear direction for the future. "Carl Gustaf has led Lindemann through an important transitional period with commitment, energy, and clarity," said Dan Josefsberg, operating partner of Lindemann's new owners, Mimir. "He joined the business at a time of considerable change and leaves behind a company that is stronger, more focused, and well-positioned for the next stage of its journey. We would like to thank him sincerely for everything he has contributed to Lindemann and wish him every success in his next chapter."
Riedel steps into his role with decades of experience
Effective 1 July 2026, Rudolf Riedel will assume the role of CEO of Lindemann Metal Recycling. A mechanical engineer by training, he has held CEO and managing director roles across several mid-sized German industrial groups, leading businesses through transformation, growth, and international expansion. This combination of industrial experience, operational leadership, and customer understanding makes him well-positioned to drive Lindemann forward in delivering long-term value.
"Rudolf brings the experience, industrial knowledge, and leadership qualities Lindemann needs as it builds on the progress of recent years," said Dan Josefsberg of Mimir. "Carl Gustaf hands over the company to an extremely safe pair of hands, and we are delighted to welcome Rudolf as Lindemann moves into its next phase."
Göransson will support Riedel through the transition period to ensure continuity for employees, recyclers, and partners. Speaking about his time at Lindemann, Carl Gustaf Göransson said: "It has been a pleasure to lead Lindemann over the past three years and to work alongside such passionate and dedicated colleagues. Together, we have navigated a challenging period for the industry, strengthened our offering, and laid the foundations for the company's future. I am proud of what the team has achieved and confident that Lindemann is well-positioned for continued success under Rudolf's leadership."
Lindemann Metal Recycling will continue to focus on delivering high-performance technology, premium customer support, and innovative solutions for the global metal recycling industry.
