GreenSpark Software and ReMatter have entered into an agreement to combine their existing organizations into a single company: ReSpark. The combined entity brings together two purpose-built software platforms in the metal recycling and scrap yard industry to unify their products, teams, and customer bases to serve operators across the U.S., Canada, and beyond.

ReSpark will serve more than 800 scrap companies across 1,000-plus facilities. The platform covers the full operational surface of a modern scrap yard business: inbound and outbound ticketing, dispatch and logistics, consumer portals, commercial pricing, document processing, integrated financial workflows, export, brokerage, and AI-powered agentic automation.

Creating a unified platform to serve modern recyclers

The combination unifies GreenSpark's AI-native facility management platform, agentic workflow capabilities, inventory management, and enterprise ERP integration with ReMatter's mobile-first dispatch platform, compliance tooling, and back-office financial depth. The result is a single platform with the breadth to serve operators at every tier, from single-facility yards to the most complex multinational enterprise operations in the industry.

Enhancing service through AI-based products

The combination unlocks something neither company could deliver independently: an all-in commitment to AI product development, paired with the customer support infrastructure to deploy it without compromise.

At the scale of either company alone, these priorities competed. Accelerating the product roadmap came at some cost to service depth — and vice versa. ReSpark resolves that tension for good. The combined organization has the depth to deliver amplified customer service alongside industry-leading AI workflows.

The pace of change in operational AI is real, and ReSpark is positioned to focus on it. The businesses have been building agentic workflows for the metal recycling industry — commercial pricing automation, intelligent dispatch, and document processing — at a level ahead of where the rest of the market is today. With the scale and resources of the combined platform, those capabilities can now be accelerated and deployed across the full customer base at an enterprise-grade level.

ReSpark's platform allows recyclers to do more with less, allowing top employees to be even more productive than before and allowing them to focus on revenue-generating tasks like increasing commercial material service or discovering new supplier accounts.

For operators, this means they get access to genuinely differentiated AI — faster than ever before — from a team that is fully invested in making sure they can actually use it.

What existing customers and users can expect from the merger

Customers on both platforms will experience no changes to their products, contracts, or pricing on Day 1. Both companies are committed to providing all current customers with a seamless path to take advantage of the full capabilities of the combined platform as it develops.

What leadership will look like at ReSpark

Gordon Driscoll, co-founder and former CEO of GreenSpark, will serve as CEO of ReSpark. Wyatt Pontius, co-founder and former CEO of ReMatter, will serve as Chief Product Officer. Drake Hougo, co-founder of ReMatter, will serve as President. The founding teams of both companies remain with the combined entity in full.

ReSpark will operate coast to coast with offices in Los Angeles and New York.

"Metal recycling is one of the most operationally complex industries in the world, and for too long it has been underserved by software that was built for a different era. This industry deserves a platform that keeps up with the operators running it. ReSpark is built to do that: the product depth operators need, the support organization to back it at scale, and the AI roadmap to lead them into what comes next. We are finally in a position to deliver all of it simultaneously, without trade-offs," shared Gordon Driscoll, CEO, ReSpark.

"The operators in this industry have always been ahead of the software available to them. They have been running sophisticated operations on infrastructure that was not built to match them. ReSpark is the platform that closes that gap — a team that has spent years inside this industry, combined with the resources and the architecture to build what the next twenty years of this market demands," said Drake Hougo, president, ReSpark.
