A new partnership between American Battery Technology Company (ABTC) and Call2Recycle supports increased and much needed consumer and business battery recycling in the U.S.

This collaboration marks ABTC's expansion into consumer battery recycling, leveraging its innovative recycling technologies to recover critical materials like lithium, cobalt, and nickel from used consumer batteries. By joining Call2Recycle, a premier battery collection and recycling program, this partnership will significantly increase the volume of batteries recycled and strengthen the domestic supply chain for battery metals.

Why this matters:

For the U.S. supply chain: By recovering critical materials domestically, this partnership reduces reliance on foreign sources and bolsters the U.S. battery manufacturing ecosystem.

For responsible resource management: This initiative addresses the growing need to recycle consumer batteries, reducing waste, and supporting a closed-loop circular economy.

Safety: Lithium-ion battery safety is a growing concern making headlines nationwide. Proper collection and recycling is essential to prevent risks from batteries ending up in the trash. Call2Recycle's nationwide network keeps them out of landfills; the partnership with ABTC ensures they're processed safely and responsibly.
