Scrap Management Industries expands reach with two recent acquisitions
Both recycling facilities will accelerate their industrial scrap services with the latest metal recycling technologies

Scrap Management Industries (SMI), a ferrous and nonferrous metal recycling company based in the Midwest, has acquired two established recycling facilities, 12th and Haskell Recycling Center in Lawrence, Kan., and East Wilson Recycle in Ottawa, Kan.
The expansion marks SMI's eighth and ninth locations, strengthening the company's ability to serve residents and industrial and commercial recycling needs across the region.
Creating new opportunities for scrap metal recycling in the Midwest
Operating under the new name Scrap Management Industries — Lawrence and Scrap Management Industries — Ottawa, both facilities will continue providing comprehensive metal recycling services for both ferrous and nonferrous materials. With a history spanning 20 years, 12th and Haskell Recycle Center and East Wilson Recycle have been a respected member of the area's recycling industry. Now under SMI's ownership, the locations will enhance their capabilities to support industrial scrap management services, offering tailored solutions to businesses of all sizes.
