The Plastics Industry Association (PLASTICS) has unveiled a new video as part of its Recycling is Real advocacy campaign. The campaign is dedicated to promoting and defending plastic recycling in the U.S. This new video highlights the recycling efforts taking place at Envision Plastics, a division of Altium Packaging, in Reidsville, North Carolina. So far Ultra-Poly, Placon, Novolex, MAAG, Niagara Bottling, and Epsilyte have been featured in PLASTICS' Recycling is Real campaign.

"Plastic recycling is very real, and it happens every single day across America including in North Carolina," said PLASTICS' President and CEO Matt Seaholm. "The Recycling is Real campaign will continue to show the public and lawmakers that recycling is undeniable, and is a feasible and economical way to achieve a more circular economy."

"Envision is proud to be part of the Recycling is Real campaign and video," said Envision Plastics' Vice President and General Manager Roberto Fontanillas. "This message is critical to us as a company and as an industry, and we're doing everything we can to ensure our sustainability efforts meet our customers' needs and have long-lasting, meaningful effects on our world."

The Recycling is Real campaign provides content to help elected officials and policymakers understand that recycling is a vital link of the sustainability and circularity chain, enabling them to make more well-informed decisions about recycling resources.

The campaign was created to show that recycling happens every day and that it is not a myth. Recycling is Real shows how recycling happens, where it happens, and introduces the people who make it happen.
