Louisville, Mississippi-based Taylor Machine Works, Inc. recently announced their latest offering for the scrap recycling industry; the T40-MH material handler. Built for reliability, to handle the most demanding tasks found in scrap recycling operations, the T40-MH is a 40-metric-ton size class machine, with boom and stick providing 51-feet of horizontal reach and 56-feet of vertical height.
Assembled in the USA, theT40-MH is powered by a Cummins QSB6.7 Turbocharged engine that meets the U.S. EPA Tier 4 Final emission standards. The cab is designed for operator comfort, with ergonomically positioned controls, and standard features include a hydraulic cab riser with a sliding door, and an easy-access platform. Other key features include right side and rearview cameras that allow the operator to monitor critical areas around the machine, in operation, an auto lubrication system that provides optimal lubrication to key service points on the upper carriage, and a cab avoidance system helps to maintain a fixed distance between recommended attachments and the operator environment. In addition, TaylorTrak Pro Fleet Telematics Hardware ensures comprehensive and flexible remote monitoring, maintenance scheduling, along with other features.
Several optional features are also available. They include a 20kW Baldor DC generator, a Hubbell magnet controller, Vision Plus pedestrian detection system, additional topside handrails, a Taylor 57-in. cast steel scrap handling magnet, or a one cubic yard orange peel grapple.
