New LiftTech website provides maintenance resource for recyclers
LiftTech Industrial Services has unveiled a new website ( www.lifttechindustrial.com ) which, the firm hopes, will help customers to better understand the firm’s unique position in the equipment maintenance business.
LiftTech specializes in onsite field services for cranes, material handling machines and processing equipment in heavy industrial environments such as oil rigs, steel service centers and recycling yards. The new website highlights the four major types of service offered by LiftTech including equipment installation and commissioning, scheduled preventative maintenance, emergency repairs and training services. However, according to Mark Volansky, LiftTech’s Director of Sales, the real focus of the website is on the firm’s integrated LiftSafe® programs.
“We’re more than happy to quote on any aspect of a facility’s maintenance and repair needs,” Volansky explains. “We’re very committed to a fast 24/7 response to machine-down emergencies or for special services like the installation of a new generator on a scrap handler. Training programs for operators and technicians have become a rapidly growing area for us. But our focus is always on the value-added we can provide with our integrated end-to-end programs. LiftSafe is the best way we know to minimize operating costs and downtime while we elevate safety and productivity in their operations.”
An end-to-end approach to mechanical integrity
LiftSafe is a program of equipment inspection and preventative maintenance procedures based on a holistic approach to “mechanical integrity.” The program integrates all maintenance activities for material handling operations in the entire yard or service facility. Integrating maintenance requirements, Volansky says, creates more opportunities to take a wider view of safety and downtime issues that may affect the equipment and a longer time view of corrective procedures.
“Our crews and supervisors have the expertise to understand how all the lift equipment and material handling devices in the facility interact as a process – above-the-hook, below-the-hook and on-the-ground. They can perform the service steps needed day to day, but they can also recognize when a change in approach is called for. Then we can bring in whatever resources we need to upgrade the equipment or streamline the processes. By bringing it together as one mechanical integrity plan, the program runs very seamlessly and efficiently.”
Adaptability, scalability
Volansky emphasizes that every LiftSafe program is tailored to the individual customer, and is scalable to adapt to a single machine within one operation or to multiple sites for a single customer. LiftTech also applies the same maintenance management principles to take on short term projects such as a scheduled maintenance shutdown or the start-up of a new facility or piece of equipment.
As well as providing programs and services for steel service and scrap handling environments, LiftTech offers onsite field support for heavy lift and production equipment in metal processing mills, pulp & paper mills, port facilities, heavy manufacturing and warehousing applications.
LiftTech Industrial Services provides mill-duty industrial facilities with specialized material handling equipment maintenance and repair resources to increase operational safety, savings and uptime. LiftTech fields highly trained crews of accredited equipment technicians to perform a comprehensive range of preventative and emergency on-site maintenance services, tailored to ensure continuous compliance with industry and regulatory standards.
With a growing network of service teams located throughout America’s key industrial regions, LiftTech offers facility managers a proven one-stop shop for end-to-end service support for all of their lifting devices and crane system requirements for mill operations in everything from steel, aluminum and paper mills to ship building, port operations and oil rigs.
