Storm brewing as McCloskey launches new modular wash plant for Hillhead

There's another storm brewing, forecast to arrive during Hillhead 2018, 26 to 28 June in Buxton Quarry. McCloskey Washing Systems (MWS) is excited to launch the latest robust and reliable addition to our modular wash plant range, the AGGSTORM 150, on Stand L1.

The AggStorm Modular log washer range is designed to deal with harsh, clay-bound material from natural and crushed gravel, hardstone and C&D waste, that cannot be removed by rinsing and screening alone.

The AggStorm produces cleaner material at a faster rate. The twin shafts run in sync with replaceable blades which intensively mix the feed material creating 'stone on stone' attrition. The cast steel blades come in various options including AR500 and Cast Manganese.

Ben Frettsome, Sales Manager of MWS commented: "The new AGGSTORM 150 has been designed with the operator firmly in mind. Following the feedback received from our first open day in 2017 at Crown Aggregates the engineering division of MWS concentrated its effort on key areas such as access, maintenance & ease of use.

"A common maintenance issue for customers is the ability to efficiently & safely remove worn blades or entangled plastics/debris from the shaft & blades of log washers. With the new design this can be achieved in a matter of minutes with the revolutionary new hull design that gives the customer, unrivalled access through sealed maintenance panels. Which when the equipment has been locked off & isolated, can be unbolted along the log washer hull allowing operators optimal uptime of their machine & lowering the cost of maintenance & repair."

The AGGSTORM on display at Hillhead 2018 will also incorporate the brand new 12 x 5 high energy pre-screen option. Designed to allow for the removal of fine material prior to the attrition process, McCloskey has capitalized on its 30 years' experience in the design of aggregate screens to ensure the maximum removal of sand particles, which can be fed back to our Compact Sand Plant range.

"Our unique approach to designing our ground-breaking products incorporates partnership, engagement and collaboration with our customers around the globe. This is underpinned by market leading experience and a commitment to the highest industry standards," said Sean Loughran, Director, McCloskey Washing Systems. "As important, our comprehensive after sale support and service ensures that our attention detail goes well beyond the truck pulling out of the factory. We are staffed and ready to provide fast response times to customers around the world."
