Voith Turbo and Danieli Centro Recycling sign distribution agreement
Voith Turbo, Inc., a specialist for drive solutions, systems and comprehensive services, and Danieli Centro Recycling, a worldwide leading manufacturer of recycling machinery, recently announced an agreement for Danieli to distribute Voith products and services to shredder operators. Customers can now single-source Voith quick-time delivery universal joint drive shafts (u-joint shafts), hydrodynamic couplings, SafeSet couplings and highly flexible couplings via Danieli.
"Through our partnership with Danieli, we're improving the operator's experience by providing easy access to superior drive components from Voith," said Kyle Kluttz, vice president, NBS Mining and Metals Americas, Voith Turbo, Inc. "Single sourcing offers many benefits including enhanced administrative efficiency and lower inventory costs."
Using Voith quick-time delivery, North American delivery times have been decreased from months to weeks. The Voith warehouse, located in York, Pennsylvania, stocks all of the components for drive shafts in the 198-to-550-millimeter diameter size range, allowing for expedited distribution.
Voith u-joint shafts feature a robust modular design, a universal fit and maximized torque capacities which are as much as 20 percent higher than equal-sized competitor products. These drive and hydraulic solutions significantly increase the productivity and profitability of capital equipment including shredders, balers and conveyor systems.
In addition, Voith provides a wide range of parts and driveline solutions including connection and torsionally flexible couplings, SafeSet torque limiters, permanent and temporary driveline torque monitoring systems, as well as transmissions, axle drives, torque converters, and hydrostatic pumps. These components are vital for a wide variety of industries and applications, including metal processing, recycling, mining, transportation, rail, and test-rig equipment.
"For more than 20 years, Danieli has been using and recommending Voith SafeSet couplings to protect shredder drivelines and motors from unshreddables. Thanks to Voith products, Danieli shredders have never experienced catastrophic failures with consequent expensive repairs and downtime," said Everson Cremonese, sales director, Americas, Danieli Centro Recycling.
Voith Turbo, a Group Division of Voith, is a specialist for intelligent drive solutions, systems and comprehensive services, serving a range highly diverse industries such as oil and gas, energy, rail and commercial vehicles, ship technology, mining and mechanical engineering.
