GrinderCrusherScreen Inc. has announced the grand opening of GrinderCrusherScreen Wear Parts. This new division of GrinderCrusherScreen Inc. sells tips, hammers, and screens for all major manufacturers of wood grinders.

The company says this new expansion into the wear parts industry is a natural fit as they already sell an abundance of tub grinders and horizontal grinders across the United States and abroad.

“Our customers wanted a reputable company to purchase their wear parts from," says Neal Kaiserman, owner of GrinderCrusherScreen Inc. "They wanted customer service and a product that will last without costing an arm and leg. Our quality is second to none and our prices are definitely less money when comparing equal parts.”

The Wear Parts division of GrinderCrusherScreen Inc. is unique in that it has a complete catalogue of parts online that are categorized by grinder brand names and models. They offer carbide weld tips and solid carbide tips so they can supply almost any tip available on the market. Most suppliers of tips only sell a few sizes. GrinderCrusherScreen not only offers a large selection of tips but any weld selection that is required.

In addition, the company says they can take care of screens and hammers at extremely competitive pricing. Kaiserman claims that many suppliers of wear parts do not educate their customers and that they have little idea what they are buying.

“Many customers are shopping strictly based on price and do not consider the fact that not all parts are equal," continues Kaiserman. "For instance, screens for grinders can be made out of AR400 plate or AR500 plate but it is surprising how many customers were receiving screens made out of mild steel. This is where buying from a reputable supplier is crucial.”

When asked if there is a huge difference between wear tips, Kaiserman said “absolutely.”

"A known secret in the industry is that most manufacturers do not manufacture their own tips so they buy them from companies like GrinderCrusherScreen. I am sad to say that the majority of blanks in the industry come from the same providers from overseas and the carbide also comes from local U.S. distributors who purchase carbide from the same sources overseas. In conclusion, the differences in tips can be seen by the quality of weld and the amount of carbide put into each tip. Many companies cut corners and expenses by putting less carbide on the part. They do this to maximize profits," says Kaiserman.

GrinderCrusherScreen Wear Parts has also introduced a product called Hammerhead. This special welding process allows for twice the carbide to be used and results in parts lasting two to three times longer than standard parts. A Hammerhead tip costs 30 to 40 percent more than a normal tip. Since the release of these new tips, GrinderCrusherScreen says that Hammerhead has since become a market leader.

“It takes time for a customer to realize that it is O.K. to spend 30 to 40 percent more on a part to get two to three times the life. In the long run, it will save the customer money, not only in parts but also in labour,” says Kaiserman

Kaiserman predicts that after one year that over 50% of their business will be Hammerhead tips parts.

“After we educate our customers and they try the part, they will see a huge difference in longevity of the parts. We will always carry the standard parts which we are confident will stand up and exceed any part sold by an OEM," adds Kaiserman.

In a dismal economy, GrinderCrusherScreen says they have grown tremendously by sticking to their beliefs that anyone can sell a machine or part, but GrinderCrusherScreen’s success relies on providing the correct machine or part for the customer’s particular application.

GrinderCrusherScreen Inc. has also added OEM+ tips. The company says that these new tips deliver OEM quality at a great price.
