Ritchie Bros. and IronPlanet Secure Unconditional Antitrust Clearance from the U.S. Department of Justice; Acquisition is Expected to Close in the Next Few Weeks

Ritchie Bros., has announced the receipt of unconditional antitrust clearance from the U.S. Department of Justice for the proposed acquisition of IronPlanet, an online marketplace for heavy equipment and other durable assets. Ritchie Bros. outstanding brand reputation and high degree of customer trust, coupled with IronPlanet's digital prowess built on user friendly technology, will provide multiple product and channel offerings to customers.

The transaction is expected to close in the next few weeks. A new organizational structure will be announced after closing.

Norway's largest waste management company first to implement BHS Max-AI VIS to monitor outbound product quality

Norsk Gjenvinning (NG), Norways largest waste management company, has selected Oregon-based Bulk Handling Systems (BHS) to supply NG's new state of the art paper recycling system in Oslo. The Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI), has released the following statement in response to China's announcement that it will impose a retaliatory tariff on the import of all scrap commodities from the U.S.: "ISRI is already hearing from contacts in China that the announcement has caused consternation among Chinese consumers of U.S. scrap commodities. Although these tariffs will not be levied on imports from other countries, it is our understanding that other regions may not be able to fulfill all of China's demand. This is in line with other reports that the trade war has had an impact on the Chinese economy across many sectors.

The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) has been working to reduce unnecessary electronic waste since 2004 throughout Canada. Many of us are unaware of the toxic chemicals that derive from electronic devices. Take a cell phone as an example, it has over 500 components and many contain toxic metals such as mercury, lead, beryllium, and cadmium. Over the past five years the ERA has been working with Hi Tech Recyclers, an Alberta Recycling (ARMA) certified recycler, to recycle e-waste from the province, comprised of unusable TV's, printers and electronics that could not be reused.

The full hybrid scalper Keestrack K4e features a hybrid drive unit of 75 kW diesel engine (Tier 4f) and 75 kVa accumulator. In primary and secondary operation it offers production rates up to 350 tph.

In March 2018 Keestrack, the Belgium-based specialist in mobile processing technology, signed a dealership agreement with JCE Co, Ltd. based in Kanagawa near Tokyo.
