CARI sets Managing for Safety seminar for March

The Canadian Association of Recycling Industries has just announced an upcoming Managing for Safety seminar which will take place March 9 in Toronto. The day is specifically designed for owners and managers of scrap recycling companies; those that have the authority to make changes. The seminar will be led by Mr. John Gilstrap, ISRI’s Director of Safety, and will cover: Safety as a Management Opportunity; Setting Goals and Charting Progress; Work Rules, Progressive Discipline and Employee Incentives; and Safety Inspections and Self-Assessment.
 John Gilstrap is a frequent lecturer and keynote speaker. He has been in the safety field for 28 years, providing safety and health guidance not just to the recycling industry, but to the explosives processing, chemical weapons, hazardous waste and automotive service industries as well.
