New site provides searchable map of Canadian recyclers
The Canadian Association of Recycling Industries (CARI) recently announced the launch of www.canadarecycles.org, an interactive website that provides a searchable map of recyclers in Canada.
The new site is a directory and map of Canadian recyclers where users can select criteria from drop-down menus to quickly find recyclers or a particular material in a specific geographical region. The search result displays a list of companies with their contact information and identifies their locations on a Google map. CARI members are identified with the organization’s logo.
According to CARI, Canada Recycles is an ongoing project and the information currently in the directory is based on responses to a survey done in 2009. CARI says they will be maintaining and adding to the directory on a regular basis, and the industry is encouraged to contact CARI with requests for changes or to add their company.
CARI’s 14th Annual Consumer's Night is coming up. The event is being held Monday, October 24, 2011 at the Fairmont Royal york hotel, in Toronto. (The deadline for early registration is OCTOBER 17.) For more information, please contact Donna Turner at (905) 426-9313 or email [email protected].
