All-electric Kalmar forklifts

The Kalmar ECF50-90 series electric pneumatic forklift, featuring the latest in AC power technology, is now available in North America. These units are ideally suited for indoor operations due to maneuverability, low noise level and lack of harmful emissions.

The ECF50-90 is designed as a more environmentally friendly alternative for customers regularly lifting loads between 11,000 to 19,800 pounds. It’s also a great option for diesel-powered forklift users who will see new regulations for 75- to 173-hp engines starting in 2012.  

Peter Olsson, Cargotec’s Director of Industrial Sales in North America, cites the efficiency of today’s AC technology, and the desire of companies to reduce their ecological impact, as some of the driving factors behind bringing the ECF model to the U.S. and Canada.
