Near-infrared sorting systems for electronics

Near-infrared sorting systems for electronics
Designed for the recycling of high-quality plastics such as ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) or PC (polycarbonate) and of printed circuit boards from electronic waste, VARISORT N sorting systems provide high output quality and are based on near-infrared technology. Units separate plastic types from pre-crushed electrical waste. The unit’s near-infrared detector determines and locates the plastic types of pieces passing on a conveyor.    An electronic evaluation unit determines the exact position of the unwanted types, and with accurate timing and positioning activates corresponding nozzles of an air-blast unit. Users can freely select which types of polymers should be separated, and the near-infrared sensors can be combined with a colour sensor.   S+S
