Refrigerator compressor recycling unit

This new SEDA-AFR refrigerator compressor recycling machine is engineered to quickly and effectively remove virtually all compressor oil and potentially harmful Freon gases from the compressors of scrap refrigerators. SEDA Umwelttechnik GmbH, the technology’s Austrian-based manufacturer, says that after drainage, compressors can be shredded or sent for further processing without risk to the environment.
Traditional methods of oil and Freon gas removal rely on pliers clamped to the copper pipes of a compressor. These pliers can leak harmful Freon gases into the environment and don’t get all oil out of compressors. With the SEDA-AFR the compressor is automatically clamped into place then drilled at the deepest point to remove the oil and R600a or R134a Freon gas simultaneously. Units are designed as stand alone systems or can easily be incorporated into automated refrigerator recycling systems. Key features include fast and powerful drilling action, a large drill chamber for less maintenance, a fully-automated multi-function display, and an automated maintenance cycle.
SEDA also recently introduced a new all-in-one, compact end-of-life vehicle drainage station, available as a single or twin tower design. The company says their new DrainTowers are capable of draining scrap cars 98 percent dry of fuel, engine, gear and hydraulic oil, break fluid, screen wash and radiator fluids, in as little as seven minutes per vehicle.
