New tire recycling brochure available

Vecoplan, one of the worldwide leaders in shredding, recycling and waste processing technologies, has released a new brochure entitled “So You Want to Recycle Tires?” As the name implies, this new brochure is a primer for those considering getting into the tire recycling business. The first section of the brochure, entitled “Starting Up – Some Things To Consider” includes a few basics in developing a business plan when starting a tire recycling operation.
The brochure then details the three steps, or processing stations, recommended to set up a successful tire recycling system. These are: the Primary Shredder, the Secondary Shredder and Granulation. Machinery required for each workstation is discussed and illustrated by photos of a typical set-up for that station, as well as a picture of what goes into the shredder and what comes out. Ballpark estimates on investment costs, operating costs and end product value for each processing station are provided, along with potential markets for the end product derived from each step.
A typical tire recycling system is shown in both overhead and side views via Cad Cam drawings. These serve as a flow chart depicting the various types of machinery that can be incorporated into a turnkey tire recycling system. Vecoplan offers a range of shredding and recycling equipment which is ideal for industrial applications ranging from tire recycling and alternative fuel to plastics processing and general waste processing and recovery.
