Built in Austria and designed with a unique notching device that allows recyclers to break up to 22 tons per hour of rail, this rail breaker is available in either stationary or mobile configurations. These machines provide an efficient, cost effective and eco-friendly way to process rail into exact lengths, and will easily replace ten torch cutters. Fully automatic, the operator just has to load rail onto the machine’s track. Rail up to 120 metres in length can be processed, and the unit’s blade will last up to one year, while the notching device lasts approximately 2,000 hours. Wear parts are kept to a minimum, and the rail breaker’s hydraulic tank comes with a dual chamber system and modular external drive units, with an ATM-developed additive pump switching technology. Fault analysis is offered via modem.
