Ad revenue generating bins offered free to “hosts”

Designed as a solution for out of home recycling, Free Green Can is a new company that offers dual purpose recycling/trash cans, with advertising slots on each side. The company makes revenue through advertising sold on the cans, and so can offer them at no charge to waste and recycling companies, site managers, cities and event organizers. The cans are designed to be placed in high traffic public places, making it easy for people to recycle on the go. Through Free Green Can’s program, “host” locations – the sites that allow units to be installed on their property, such as cities, parks, malls, convention centres, stadiums, etc. – are asked to help find advertising partners, and can then also profit from co-branding and through ad revenue generated. Free Green Can supplies and maintains the bins, which use two 30-gallon inserts with built-in barriers to prevent contamination. The bins are made from recycled polypropylene and are weather- and theft-resistant. Branded signs on top of the can are made using eco-inks and recyclable vinyl and side ad inserts measure 28 inches by 18 inches each.
