Extreme-duty single shaft shredder
The new EXS Extreme Duty Single Shaft Shredder is designed to provide the versatility needed to handle just about any application. Available in three models (EXS1500, EXS2000, and EXS3000) with numerous capabilities, the EXS Series offers rugged construction with heavy-duty bearings to handle the toughest material. Units are ideally suited for reduction of large extruder purgings, large reject parts, trim scraps, baled or loose film, synthetic fibre, wood processing scrap, medical waste, cardboard, paper and carpet. Serrated ram plates hold materials in the rotor, making processing large awkward pieces easier, and a sturdy “swing-style” ram minimizes space and allows product to fall into the rotor. Outboard mounted bearings reduce contamination and feature a large 750 mm (29.5-inch) diameter rotor for positive ingestion. A bolted-in cutter seat allows for easy removal and maintenance, and the low speed rotor (54 rpm) transmits high cutting torque for tough applications.
Other key features include: reversible square cutters (60 mm) for quick changes, an abrasion resistant rotor for long life, and dual motor drives for even horsepower displacement on both ends of the rotor.
Optional features include: a hydraulic screen cradle, rotor cooling, PLC controls with display, chamber wear protection and infeed and discharge conveyors.
