Small-body rear loader makes debut at Waste Expo

Wayne Engineering’s new small body rear loader, the Quantum, can be equipped to handle one to six cubic yard commercial containers without any expensive alterations to the tailgate. It features a unique packing mechanism with a packer plate that sweeps the entire 70-inch wide tailgate and yields high compaction ratings of 800 to 900 pounds per cubic yard. The Quantum has the lightest body in its class and is available in 6 to 10 cubic yard models. Speed, agility and excellent weight distribution characterize the Quantum, making it ideal for collecting in tight, congested locations as well as high-mileage, low-density routes. Options include a single or dual cart tipper, container roll bar or winches, and a rear view colour camera system.
