Great West Equipment brings province-wide service network to B.C. for Sennebogen material handlers

According to Sennebogen, Canada’s west coast region can look forward to a new level of support for scrap handlers, log loaders, swing machines and port equipment, with the appointment of Great West Equipment as the newest authorized distributor of Sennebogen equipment.

Constantino Lannes, President of SENNEBOGEN LLC, foresees a significant improvement in uptime and productivity for these facilities as SENNEBOGEN’s purpose-built material handlers increase their presence in the region.

The Great West Equipment branches will serve a territory covering the southern interior and northern British Columbia, and reaching across to Vancouver Island, where the firm maintains two facilities. In the metropolitan area of Vancouver, Top Lift Enterprises continues to represent Sennebogen.

Great West corporate sales manager, Roger Dobie, welcomes the opportunity to expand his range of equipment solutions for customers. ”We have been looking for a purpose-built material handler to help customers replace wheel loaders for loading and stacking in their yards. Today, we’re in a much better position to be their one-stop source for equipment service.”

Great West Equipment originated as Wooland Parts, in Vernon in 1987. The current ownership group purchased the firm and its one store 11 years ago. In 2002, under its new name, Great West was appointed as the regional dealer for Volvo Construction equipment, spurring rapid growth of their service network. Dobie recalls that the firm opened three new branches in its first three months as a Volvo dealer, and continued to expand to the north.   Additional product lines expand Great West’s offering to forestry and recycling customers with a wide range of grinding and chipping machinery, as well as road construction and specialized construction equipment.

“Sennebogen will definitely help us open new doors in log-handling, scrap recycling and port applications,” says Dobie. To be prepared, Dobie will be sending his technicians to Stanley, NC, near Charlotte, for orientation at the new Sennebogen parts and training facility.

“We have a few green line machines to support in our territory already. Their simple design and easy access combined with the availability of the service parts make them very good to work on, which means more uptime for our customers.”

Based in Stanley, North Carolina, within the greater Charlotte region, SENNEBOGEN LLC offers a complete range of purpose-built machines to suit virtually any material handling application. The company provides specialized equipment solutions for recycling and scrap metal yards, barge and port operations, log-handling, transfer stations and waste facilities from coast to coast. A growing network of distributors supports SENNEBOGEN LLC sales and service across the Americas.
