The A 954 C HD Litronic material handler weighs 128,900 pounds and is powered by a Tier III-compliant Liebherr diesel engine, with an output of 326 hp/240 kw at 1,800 rpm. These machines are designed specifically for material handling, providing exceptional stability and reach up to 75 feet in height and 79 feet forward. New to Liebherr’s material handlers is the Vario Lift Plus system which allows the kinematics (the lifting and reach) of the machine to be optimized for individual operation. Also available, the A 954 C HD Litronic High Rise Material Handler model is designed for heavy-duty material handling in scrap, timber or port applications. These excavators are built around a heavy-duty wheeled undercarriage with solid tires and heavy-duty axles capable of supporting up to 90 tons. Units feature long reach, high lift capacities and rapid travel speeds, with grapple capacity of 1.2 to 2.5 m cube.
