Demolition shears
Designed and constructed specifically to meet the needs of the demolition and recycling industries, the RHS series of shears are available in seven different excavator sizes and come standard with 360 degree hydraulic rotation. All models are equipped with a large diameter, heavy-duty rotation motor, which provides optimum maneuverability for increased production (compared to a fixed shear) while reducing carrier wear. A bolt-on piercing tip is designed to reduce maintenance and to be field-replaceable. Upper and lower jaws have blades that can be flipped up to four times per blade. These shears are built with Weldox 700 and Hardox 400 steel for abrasion-resistance and durability, and a flat top frame allows for installation on any carrier with the addition of a bolt-on mounting bracket.
Depending on the model, shear openings range from 15.9 inches (405 mm) to 43.3 inches (1,100 mm) and shear force tip at 5,500 psi ranges from 65 short tons (574 kN) up to 355 short tons (3,160 kN).
