Northshore recently announced the release of its Builtrite MR 360-degree magnet rotator attachment. These units are designed to allow scrap handlers to precisely pick and place their scrap load while using their magnet, especially useful when handling longer objects like pipe, beams, railroad rail, bales, car bodies, etc. Key features to this tool include 360-degree continuous rotation on 20-inch (508mm) internal tooth slewing ring bearing and dual hydraulic motors, as well as a fabricated head and base assembly with pin lock. Magnet to rotator mounting uses three sliding T-bars to allow precise contact with material, and units feature a heavy-duty, two-pass electric swivel manifold for extreme duty cycles. The base plate is made from high strength steel for maximum durability and custom sizes are available for all size magnets.
