The STARR automated side loader, semi-trailer refuse and recycling collection system consists of an automated Rapid Rail arm mounted on a truck tractor, and detachable, semi-trailer packer bodies. The STARR features a 42-foot turning radius and allows operators to fill two trailers and then haul both, with up to 18 tons of payload. The latest STARR model includes improvements and updates to the automated arm structure, electrical system and hydraulics. The arm has an eight-foot reach, 1,600-pound lift capacity, and an eight-second cycle time.
